A key feature of the adapter is its construction, specifically the way it attaches to the MOLLE system of plate carriers, pouches, RPS and other equipment. To secure it, four extended sections are bent and inserted under the equipment webbing, providing a strong attachment. The adapter is based on Tegris thermoplastic composite, which is characterised by high strength and resistance to mechanical damage.
