The III. Generation of the Palaearctic MNTN (Mountain) Pants is in every respect better than its predecessor: more efficient, even more breathable and a good deal lighter! The MNTN trousers from MERKEL GEAR are year-round trousers for the ambitious stalker and mountain hunter. The highly breathable, cross-elastic and extremely robust double-weave stretch fabric specially developed for MERKEL GEAR in combination with waterproof, breathable knee and seat areas made of strong, high-strength Oxford nylon (37.5™ membrane, 20,000 mm / 20,000 g/m² ), makes these pants the undisputed workhorse when freedom of movement is key. A large number of useful details paired with the further improved MaxComfort waistband system and a revised, modern cut result in trousers that you are guaranteed not to have worn any more comfortable! Whether you're stalking wild boar at night or hunting New Zealand thar, you won't find better trousers for active hunts. The fit was designed for the III. Generation fundamentally revised: relaxed fitting at the waistband and getting narrower towards the leg ends, with triple preformed knees, internal seams in the hem area that have been moved outwards (shark fin shape for the use of crampons) and robust Oxford trimmings that always stay exactly where they are they belong. The new, innovative "Inside-Seam" cargo pocket construction lets rain drip off, is more robust and much more elegant than conventional patch pockets. Magnets and a special cut keep the pockets closed. The strong stretch fabric has been improved again, slightly adjusted in color and equipped with an extremely high-quality DWR finish against rain. The perfectly shaped waistband now comes with 2 loop buttons of different sizes (inside and outside), which are guaranteed not to become independent. In addition, the inside of the waistband has an all-round silicone coating that keeps your shirt in place, so that the pants still fit even if you forgot your belt or suspenders. With integrated, soft mounts for optionally available suspenders and sufficiently large, robust belt loops. A well-sized kidney protection sits enthroned above the waistband and gently encloses your body like a second skin. The pants have 2 side, ergonomically arranged pockets (with improved, robust pocket bags) and a back pocket - each with silent zippers to close. Both cargo pockets are prepared for the included cartridge patch. The right cargo pocket also has a generously proportioned Nicker pocket. 44cm-long (!) side ventilation zips reaching down to the hollows of the knees with self-locking semi-auto zips from YKK® ensure the necessary draft for arduous extreme hunts or when rescuing game and set a new benchmark in terms of performance on the hunting market. The leg ends of the pants have close-fitting, integrated inner gaiters made of strong, impregnated and light stretch material against snow and ticks. A strong shoe hook, which disappears into a fabric flap when not in use, so as not to pinch in rubber boots, for example, can be anchored to mountain boots to prevent the trouser legs from "climbing". The III. Generation is held together by tight double seams made of heavy-duty yarn and guarantees a long service life. A generous gusset in the crotch relieves the crotch seams over the long term.
